Child Protection Conferences

Please find the updated guide to how Child Protection Conferences (PDF. 199KB) are carried out in Cheshire East.

If things are not going well in your family or there are concerns about how safe you are, a social worker may be asked to consider what should be done.

Sometimes there is meeting called a Child Protection Conference where all those involved can discuss what needs to happen

The person in charge of this meeting is called an Independent Safeguarding Chair.

What you think is very important for this meeting.

A Child Protection Case Conference is a Multi-Agency Meeting bringing together organisations involved in protecting children and family members. If you have been invited to attend a child protection conference a person that is working with you will need to complete an agency proforma for Child Protection Case Conferences (MS Word, 202KB) prior to the conference and share this with you and your parents.
