Children and Young People

All children and young people have the right to a happy, healthy, loved and stimulated childhood.  You  should be given the opportunity to achieve your full potential in life free from abuse and neglect.

There is information in this section to help you if:

  • You are worried about the way you are being treated
  • You are worried about someone else
  • You want to find out more about Child Protection and what happens to children and young people involved

If you have a concern that can’t wait please contact the Cheshire East Consultation Service on 0300 123 5012, or the Out of Hours Service 0300 123 5022. This is a team of professionals who will be able to advise you on all matters if you do not feel safe.

'Working Together to Safeguard Children' is government guidance to ensure organisations work well together to help you, here is a Young Person’s Guide to help explain what it may mean for you.
